WHY VOLUNTEER? 

Volunteers are the backbone of the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce. They are willing to contribute their time and talents to others. Volunteers include members, seniors, students, professionals, families, church and community groups and many others.

Types of Positions

Special Event/Occasional - These include one time volunteer events or projects that take a few hours or a few days to complete. This type of assignment would include working at a special event or in small teams. Often, the needs for these types of positions arise quickly with rapid recruitment. If you prefer to join at the spur of the moment or can’t make a regular commitment, this is for you.

Time Commitments

Assignments are as flexible as possible. Every effort is made to accommodate the volunteer’s schedule. Some programs use weekend and evening volunteers. Many volunteer opportunities are scheduled during the regular work-week, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

Most volunteer assignments don't require specific experience, and on-the-job training will be provided.

Applicants must complete our Volunteer Application and release forms located under the Volunteer Application tab. 

Once Volunteer Application Forms are submitted potential volunteers are contacted to determine their interests. Every attempt is made to match potential volunteers with the assignment of their choice, depending on availability and need.

Ambassadors Committee

The Ambassadors Committee promotes member retention, attends ribbon cuttings  and helps welcome new members. It is an opportunity to connect with new members and help them understand how to get involved. These committee members serve as an advocate for the Mint Hill Chamber Commerce and help spread the word about the value of membership.

Event Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Without members stepping up to help out, we wouldn’t be able to host or attend as many events as we do throughout the year. Chamber members have an opportunity to volunteer in a number of ways. We are always looking for fun, professional individuals to represent the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce at a number of events. Membership Committee

The Membership Committee brings in new members and promotes all the benefits the Mint Hill Chamber Commerce has to offer.  They provide a wealth of information to prospective members.

Programs Committee

The Programs Committee develops programs as well as future large-scale programs. They help us test new technology and come up with fantastic ideas for interaction and member engagement.

Young Professionals Group Committee

The Young Professionals Group Committee acts as a liaison between the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals Group. Helping with events and providing support to the young professional chamber members.

Women's Networking Breakfast

The Women In Business Committee works together to provide a variety of educational, volunteer, and social events for the women in our organization. Our goal is to provide inspirational and motivational activities that encourage women to grow and connect with each other both personally and professionally.
